Back on the bike

Three wonderful and restful weeks in Malaysia spent with family has came to and end today. With camera and bicycle repairs complete, Neil arriving from Singapore and extra gear sent home it was time to hit the road.

The roads in KL look like a nightmare when seen from a car but the realty was even more shocking, the roads are good and drivers friendly and curious. It has been a long time since huge numbers of car drivers and passengers consistently waved and slowed down for a look at the crazy orang putah on bicycles. What a change from New Zealand where so many drivers wanted to simply run you off the road.
Not much in the way of scenery so far but hopefully it will improve as we get further north.
